Dave Smoldt, Vice President of Operations at FCStone, has been with the firm for 22 years. He also serves as a Risk Management Consultant to clients in both the agricultural and energy industries. Dave provides risk management to ethanol clients producing a combined total of 500 million gallons of ethanol, which consumes 180 million bushels of corn. He manages price risk for grain elevators handling a combined total of 100 million bushels of corn. Dave also works with publicly traded Fortune 500 clients to manager their commodity price risk. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Business.
