Ryan Turner grew up on a family farm in Eastern Kansas and got his start in the commodities business right out of college. He completed his degree in Agribusiness at Kansas State University in December of 1998. After a short stint as a commercial grain merchandiser, and customer of FCStone, Ryan began his career with FCStone as a Commodity Risk Management Consultant early in 2000. Today, FCStone is an international firm specializing in commodity risk management for customers involved in every step of the commodity value chain – from production to consumption. Ryan is currently the Director of FCStone’s rapidly growing Food Service Division. In that capacity he is responsible for the structuring and execution of commodity risk management programs for producers, food processors, retail outlets, and multinational food and restaurant companies. Blending market intelligence with sound, conservative risk management platforms, gives Ryan’s customers a welcome measure of certainty in today’s volatile marketplace.
